Google’s ATAP, or Advanced Technology And Projects team have been working on some pretty interesting things lately. They have just released Project Tango, a prototype smartphone with built-in 3D motion trackers that not only makes it aware of it’s position in the environment, but can also create a 3D map of your surroundings.
This little gadget will be perfect for anything interior design or architecture related. Most importantly, imagine the impact it could have on games. Games with levels based on your surroundings = endless possibilities.
